Privacy notice

Who we are

Clear Cut Coding Limited (‘we’, ‘us’) is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 08436180.

To contact us, use the contact form on this site.

What we collect

We only collect what you send us through our contact form:

The form contains a hidden field that catches spam bots. That field collects nothing about you.

Our website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so visiting it does not send your details to Google or any other font service.

How we use it, and why we’re allowed to

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to discuss work we might do together. We never use them for marketing, and we don’t have a newsletter.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). We have a legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and you would expect us to use your details to do that.

You don’t have to give us your details. Without a name and an email address, though, we can’t reply to you.

How the form and the website work

Our website and contact form run on Amazon Web Services (AWS). When you send the form, it goes to our own system in AWS’s London region. That system emails your message to our inbox and keeps no copy. We don’t store your submission anywhere else.

To deliver and protect the website, AWS processes connection data such as your IP address. We don’t keep logs of visits to our website.

Who receives your data

We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Transfers outside the UK

Your form submission is processed in AWS’s London region.

AWS delivers our website through its global network, so connection data such as your IP address may be processed outside the UK. Amazon Web Services, Inc. is certified under the UK–US data bridge (the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). AWS’s data processing terms also include UK-specific transfer protections.

Our email provider may store our inbox outside the UK. If it does, we make sure the transfer is covered either by UK adequacy regulations or by safeguards approved under UK data protection law. You can ask us for details.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry in our inbox for 12 months after our last contact with you. If we go on to work together, we keep what we need for that work and for our business records.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. To ask, use our contact form.

Your right to object. We rely on legitimate interests, so you can object at any time to our using your details. If you do, we will stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or we need the details for a legal claim.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first, using our contact form. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commission (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
